you can be plugged into the Internet and get E-mail, World Wide Web and much more for one flat monthly fee. High speed Ethernet/Broadband service available to homes with Columbus Telephone Company fiber drop to the home.
Rates
Dial Up — This service will provide transmission speeds up to 56 kbps (Federal regulations only allow up to 53.3 kbps). Speeds are impacted by network traffic. This service is meant for individuals who do not need broadband Internet access and only need internet access for very mild web surfing or E-mail.
$15.00 N/C Ethernet/Broadband — Available to users with a 429 telephone number or living within the city limits of Columbus with Columbus Telephone Company fiber drop to the home. Band-width/Connection Speed may vary depending on end-user equipment and/or network traffic. No guarantees are implied. Ethernet prices will be discounted by 10% when service is combined with Basic I or II Fibervision Cable TV service. (Only 1 discount per residence or business)
Residential Internet Services
PACKAGE Dial Up Access 1 Utilizes a modem for speeds up to 56.6 kbps (federal regulation limits speeds to 53.3 kbps). This service is meant for individuals who do not need broadband Internet access and only need internet access for very mild web surfing or E-mail.
Basic 2 3 Our baseline broadband offering to fiber-to-the-home customers. With speeds of up to 8 megabits download and upload, this service is ideal for customers with 1-2 computers doing average amounts of Internet usage.
Preferred Also available to all CTC fiber-to-the-home customers. With speeds maxing at 16 megabits download and upload, this service is perfect for customers running multiple computers on their home network and occasionally download large files (such as movies,
music, etc.).Ultimate
Our premium broadband service for fiber-to-the-home customers. With this package speeds reach up to 24 megabit on both download and upload. Customers with several computers in the home or multiple Internet devices (gaming consoles, media centers, etc.) are perfect candidates for our Ultimate package.
Gaming Package
Customers intending to utilize their broadband Internet for online gaming are recommended to request CTC’s Gaming Package. This one-time fee allows CTC to configure their network to allow gaming permissions with other CTC customers.
Web Access
CTC’s Web Access package allows customers to have access to all Internet Protocol ports. The package removes the user out of the CTC firewall. Customers wishing to access their network from off-network locations should consider Web Access. 1 Dial-Up Access available only to customers with phone number prefix of: 429, 674, 597, 827, 396, 389, 479
